How far will PiCycle™ go on a single charge?

The 2012 PiCycle™ comes standard with a Best In Class 720Wh battery, which is roughly double of what a lot of our competitors use.

The weight of the rider, the terrain, and how much you peddle or just use the motor will all significantly vary the range. A big guy who rides up lots of hills on just the motor, will get a much shorter range then a small guy who peddles a lot, on mostly flat ground. That said, depending on how you ride you will get somewhere between 16Wh/mile with some pedaling, to as low as 30Wh/mile with no pedaling. This gives you a range of somewhere between 25-50 miles on our standard battery. The bike can be range optimized to be outfit with a larger battery, which could achieve as much as 60 miles on a single charge (not to mention regen).
