Is it illegal to plug into public outlets??
You will have to check with your local regulations, but generally law enforcement is accepting of using public outlets, so long as they are truly public. We do not condone trespassing on private property to use an outlet, so get permission first. If you ask to use somebody's outlet, let them know you are only using 14 cents of electricity and thus is not a cost burden. We are currently certifying plug-in friendly locations, as well as developing a database that our smartphone app will connect to. This ensures you can easily locate public and certified plug-in friendly stations in your proximity.
